This Privacy Policy explains how SetuCRM ("SetuCRM", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Unicrop Biochem Pvt. Ltd. (CIN: U24299GJ2022PTC129307), Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our customer relationship management platform (the "Service"), including the SetuCRM website and dashboard.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — name, email address, phone number, and role, provided when an account is created for you on the Service.
  • Customer data you upload — contacts, leads, and related details (names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, notes, tags) that you or your organization import or enter into SetuCRM, including via manual entry, file import, or Google Sheets sync.
  • Communication content — WhatsApp messages, SMS, and emails sent to your contacts through the Service, and any replies received, so they can be shown to you in the contact's timeline.
  • Google account data — if you choose to connect Google Drive, we access only what is needed to power that feature (see Section 2).
  • Usage data — log data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, used for security and troubleshooting.

2. Use of Google User Data

SetuCRM's "Connect Google Drive" feature uses Google OAuth to let you pick a Google Sheet from your own Drive and import its rows as contacts, then keep new rows syncing automatically. This requires the following Google API scopes:

  • email — to identify which Google account is connected.
  • drive.file — to read the specific spreadsheet(s) you pick through Google's file picker. SetuCRM cannot access any other file in your Drive.
  • drive.metadata.readonly — to list your spreadsheet names in the picker so you can choose one.

Data read from a connected sheet is used solely to create or update contacts in your SetuCRM account. It is not shared with any third party and is not used for advertising. You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the Contacts page, or revoke access directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

SetuCRM's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service (pipelines, contacts, follow-ups, messaging).
  • To send messages (WhatsApp, SMS, email) on your behalf, at your direction, to your contacts.
  • To notify you of activity in your account (e.g. an inbound WhatsApp reply).
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your data. We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the platform, including:

  • Messaging providers (e.g. MSG91) to deliver WhatsApp and SMS messages.
  • Email delivery infrastructure to send email on your behalf.
  • Google APIs, solely as described in Section 2, when you opt in.
  • Cloud hosting and database infrastructure that stores your account's data.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and customer data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us (Section 8).

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and per-tenant data isolation — to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed at children under 18.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
